About the Journal
PEDIATRÍA (Asunción), the official journal of the Paraguayan Society of Pediatrics (Sociedad Paraguaya de Pediatría), abbreviated as Pediatr. (Asunción), with print ISSN 1683-979X and online ISSN 1683-9803, is published three times a year (January–April, May–August, and September–December). The journal has been published in print since 1970 and online since 2000.
The journal’s primary aim is to promote the conduct, publication, and dissemination of scientific research by healthcare professionals in the field of pediatrics, as well as to disseminate experiences in curative, preventive, and social medicine related to child health.
Originality
The journal publishes original articles on pediatric topics involving clinical and/or experimental research, as well as research in Social Medicine and Public Health related to perinatal, child, and adolescent health.
The journal is intended for general pediatricians and pediatric trainees, specialists, healthcare professionals, students, educators, and researchers in Paraguay and internationally.
Manuscripts submitted for publication in Pediatría (Asunción) must be scientific, original, and unpublished. As an exception, the journal accepts manuscripts previously deposited on preprint servers and allows authors to maintain their manuscripts on such servers until publication.
Pediatría (Asunción) does not charge any manuscript submission or publication fees.
